Mike became a Christian when he was 16. He got a degree in social studies and worked as a social worker before being called to the Christian Ministry. After training he served for 40 years before retiring to Middlesbrough. Mike is married to Margaret and has 2 sons and 4 grandchildren.
Sami became a Christian when he was 20 years old. He came to the UK in 2015 where he found an Eritrean Christian church, and began working with children in the church. Sami is married to Yodanas and they have 3 children. Currently, Sami is a taxi driver and a leader at Hope Community Church.
Dave is married to Rebecca with 2 teenaged boys. He grew up in Middlesbrough and was saved aged 16. After sometime working in factories and as a joiner he trained and spent 20 years sharing the gospel with young people, children and their families as Director of a charity called Tots2teens. In 2021, Dave became severely sight impaired, but God wasn't finished. Over the next year, God really laid on his heart the need for a new Bible teaching Church reaching a diverse community. God provided in answer to prayer and in October 2024, Hope Community Church began.
Lawan Adams (popularly known as Adams), became a follower of Christ at 18 years. Worked with the body of Christ in different capacities from music to leadership and prayer coordination.
Adams has also worked with the missionaries in reaching out to the rural areas in Northern Nigeria before relocating to the UK where he assisted Dave Plant with Tot to Teens.
Adams is now a leader at Hope Community Church.
Adams is married to Gushi and they have 3 children.
